Emmanuel, we give our best to you!
2025 Stewardship Season
School has started, the days are getting shorter, and there is a chill in the air. Autumn is upon us. As we return to our Fall routine, we are struck by the growing vibrancy of parish life at Emmanuel. The choir is back! Our landscaping project is complete! Adult forum is drawing crowds! The pig roast is back! And arrangements will soon be complete to simulcast our services online!
Fall is also our stewardship season. As I considered possible themes for this year’s stewardship campaign, I was drawn to the song “American Anthem” by Gene Scheer and made famous by Ken Burns’s The Civil War on PBS. Closer to home, the song was first recorded by our own Nathan Gunn. The first verse of the lyrics set the tone:
All we've been given by those who came before,
The dream of a nation where freedom would endure.
The work and prayers of centuries have brought us to this place.
What shall be our legacy? What will our children say?
Let them say of me, I was one who believes in sharing the blessings I received.
Let me know in my heart when my days are through,
America, I gave my best to you.
It doesn’t take too much imagination to apply this sentiment to our church. Thus, the theme for this year’s stewardship campaign will be “Emmanuel, we give our best to you!”
Thank you for all of the ways your investment of thankful support is making God's work happen among us. Pledge online below. You can also pay your pledge, or make another donation, online or via text message.
