For many years the men of Emmanuel produced the Pig Roast, an annual event that promoted both the welfare of the church and camaraderie among the men of the parish. In that spirit a new Men’s Fellowship will gather in the Maxwell Room from 7:30 – 8:50 am on the THIRD SATURDAY of each month for coffee (good), breakfast (light) and Bible study (personal). We expect that our time together will lead to service to the church and community as well.
This year’s topic will be It’s Complicated: Men, Women and God. Men old and young often find themselves ensnared by conflicting demands from their most intimate relations, their public duties and their own personal lights. How they have coped (or not) is a principal theme of the Bible. We will start on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 with Abraham, Sarah & Hagar, or "We're going where to do what?"
Leadership is shared by Fr. Caleb, Jason Cerezo, Mark Dirksen and Ed Rath.... and by all means invite any male friend to attend as well.
