Champaign's Inaugural Walk to Defeat ALS
When you participate in The ALS Association’s Walk to Defeat ALS®, you support people living with ALS in our community and advance global ALS research and public policy initiatives aimed at finding treatments and a cure for the disease. The funds you raise have a direct impact in the lives of people affected by ALS and they are counting on you for help! Emmanuel parishioner Page Parkhill was diagnosed with ALS in 2014 and when asked how we could help her, Page's request was simple: "Help me help others suffering from this disease." We hope you join us as we honor that request. The inaugural Champaign walk is Saturday, September 16th at Centennial Park. Registration begins at 9:30am and the actual walk will begin at 11:00am. Emmanuelites have formed a walk team, and Robin Allen is team captain. You can join the team, become a virtual walker or simply make a donation HERE. If you would like more information about the Emmanuel team, contact Robin. We also have yard signs available for pickup in the Great Hall so anyone can help spread the word. We hope to see you on September 16th! |
