The Bells of Emmanuel were installed in November of 2001 by the Van Bergen Company, who have provided bells and carillons all over the world. There are four bells that ring Monday - Saturday on the 1/4 hour, strike the Angelus three times daily, and can be rung additionally to announce each service. Champaign's downtown area has become accustomed to the beautiful sound of the Emmanuel Bells.
The technical specifications are as follows:
Bell Type Note Weight Diameter
West Chime-Hour Strike G3 1418 lbs 39 3/4"
West Chime - Peal C4 612 lbs 29 15/16"

West Chime - Peal E4 347 lbs 23 15/16"
On June 11, 2000, Emmanuel celebrated another new musical addition: Pentecost Sunday in 2000 was the first time parishioners heard the glorious Festival Trumpet. Rothenbueger & Ploetz worked with Emmanuel to build the 8' Festival Trumpet stop consisting of 61 notes and playable in the following manner:
8' Festival Trumpet 8' Festival Trumpet
on Swell on Great
The Festival Trumpet can be heard at all major feast days as well as some weddings, funerals or other services.
The Bells of Emmanuel and its Festival Trumpet provide music that offers both our neighbors and our parishioners the chance to remember the beauty and presence of God, offered to us all freely in love through Jesus Christ.
