Emmanuel on Display
Champaign County History Museum
Stop by the Champaign County History Museum at the Cattle Bank during the month of April, when they will be featuring a Centennial display of 50 years of Emmanuel Altar Guild Easter Eggs from the collection of Page Parkhill, lifelong Emmanuel parishioner who lost her courageous battle with ALS this year. The display is in the first room you enter as you visit the museum.
The display includes not just the eggs, but also articles and pictures on the project from Emmanuel's archive, as well as information about Page's life and work. We are grateful to those who catalogued and labeled the eggs for donation to the museum, as well as to the generations of faithful servants who created them!
Some of the vintage eggs on display at the Museum are still available for purchase, along with current year models, and may be picked up during church office hours (9-12:30 every weekday with extended hours to 3 on Thursdays). Contact Parish Administrator Mary Sievers at 217.352.9827 or via email at email@example.com to view available eggs.
The museum is open Thursday & Friday from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, and Saturday & Sunday from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
