Advent Diaper Drive for empty tomb!

As we continue in our outreach partnership with empty tomb,
Emmanuel is holding a diaper drive
beginning Sunday November 27th.
“And she gave birth to her first born son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7
As we prepare for the coming of our Lord Jesus, we call to mind infants in need in our own communities. Helping them would gladden Jesus’ heart. When they have them, empty tomb offers 25 diapers per child no more than once every two weeks to parents who request them. As you might imagine, diapers go quickly and are always in demand.
So, for the Sundays in Advent, Emmanuel will collect packages of disposable diapers to supply the shelves at empty tomb. Any size is welcome, though the larger sizes, 4, 5, 6, are in most demand.
Please remember the infant Jesus as Christmas approaches and help to show His love to little ones in need. There will be a manger in the Great Hall to fill up—let’s load it to overflowing during the Advent season! Bring diapers to any worship services, or when the office is open (9-12:30 with extra hours to 3 on Thursday.) You are also welcome to order diapers online for shipping to the church (208 W. University Ave, Champaign IL 61820.)
Thanks to Wendy Bauer for attending the September presentation at empty tomb and also for allowing God to work on her ideas for deeper Emmanuel involvement. Wendy also is providing the manger for this collection! If you cannot bring in diapers, click below to donate, or write a check to Emmanuel - either way, please put DIAPERS in the message box/memo line.
