20s and 30s at Emmanuel
Beginning in November, the young adult and young family ministry at Emmanuel will be hosting two monthly events: Skill Share and Pub Theology. Both events will take place remotely for the time being.
Skill Share: A monthly Zoom session where a person from our congregation will share a much-loved family recipe or perhaps their ability to make origami cranes. (Do you have a skill you would like to share? Let the Curate know!) Pub Theology: An hour-or-so-long get together via Zoom where we share what we’re drinking (tea, coffee, beer, V8, you name it) and then hang out and talk about topics ranging from “what is theology?” to a discussion of a Flannery O’Connor short story to analyzing and theologizing current events. If you have ideas about fellowship or discipleship opportunities or would like to address specific spiritual needs or wants, please feel free to share them with Marisa Crofts, Emmanuel's curate. The coming months are going to be odd, what with winter arriving and continued social distancing, but we’re hoping we can continue to foster connection in our community through the safest means possible! |
